Dr Wendy Stevens

Dr Wendy Stevens is a consultant Rheumatologist with public appointments at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. She completed her medical degree at Melbourne University in 1980. She then trained as general physician at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. She trained in Rheumatology at St Vincent’s Melbourne and London. In London she worked with Dame Professor Carol Black and it was here that she  developed an interest in Scleroderma (Systemic Sclerosis).

She was one of the founding members of the Australian Scleroderma Interest Group and helped to set up and manage the Australian Scleroderma Cohort Study. She has over 100 publications related to Scleroderma. She has been Principal Investigator on many international clinical trials in Scleroderma and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.

Her clinical interests are all forms of Inflammatory arthritis, Scleroderma, Raynauds Phenomena. She does not accept new referrals for Fibromyalgia or chronic pain syndromes.
