Conveniently located within the St Vincent’s Hospital precinct, VRG offers comprehensive treatment and management for Rheumatology related illnesses.

In order to secure an appointment you will need to provide a written referral from your GP or specialist before a booking will be confirmed.

PATIENT INFORMATION

  • Please note that Victoria Rheumatology Group is a private practice, and we therefore do not bulk bill. As a result, there is an out-of-pocket expense to you, which is not covered by private health insurance. In order to claim your Medicare rebate, you will need to have an up-to-date referral letter to the doctor.

  • Department of Veterans’ Affairs

    Veterans’ Affairs Gold card holders will be billed directly through the Department.

    WorkCover and TAC Claims

    Our Practice is unfortunately unable to see patients covered by WorkCover or TAC claims.

    Payments are invoiced on the day of service. EFTPOS facilities are available and credit cards are accepted. Medicare rebates can be paid directly into your bank account.

  • Should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please inform us at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time. Due to the extended waiting times for appointments to see the doctors, this will enable us to allocate these appointments to other patients on our waiting list. We reserve the right to charge you a non- attendance fee, which is not eligible for a Medicare rebate. Appointments cancelled without prior notification will require pre-payment to secure another consultation booking.

    If there is financial difficulty with payment, please discuss your account with staff prior to your appointment. If you have any concerns regarding the fee schedule as outlined, please discuss them with our staff.

BY CAR

The car park at St Vincent’s Hospital is often at capacity, so we recommend allowing plenty of time to find alternative parking prior to your appointment. Out of courtesy to other patients, and to ensure you receive your allocated time with your doctor, we ask that you arrive on time to your appointment.
