Dr Thilinie De Silva


MBChB, FRACP

Dr Thilinie De Silva obtained her medical degree at Otago University in New Zealand, subsequently completing her rheumatology specialty training at Monash Health and St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. Her training included experience at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, where she was involved in treating a variety of ocular-inflammatory conditions. She has been involved in clinical trials as an investigator, looking into treatment options for many rheumatological conditions. Her research in osteoarthritis has been presented at local and international conferences.

Dr De Silva is a staff specialist at St Vincent’s Hospital, and is affiliated with the University of Melbourne in medical student teaching.

She enjoys treating a wide range of rheumatic diseases with special interests in inflammatory arthritis and autoimmune connective tissue diseases.

Outside of work, Dr De Silva enjoys spending time with her family with a bit of kayaking on the side.
